The Cherokee War

The Cherokee War. We got ready for the great battle,  With our every step we made the chariots rattle.  As soon as we heard the bugle,  We barged into the jungle.  We were fighting a clan of tribals,  Who had just finished their ritual.  Our general told us that ‘It was black magic.  And that the outcome of it would be tragic.’ We broke down the bamboo wall,  We intended to destroy it all.  But my comrade didn’t think so,  He hated to see the blood flow.  He withdrew from the fight,  While we ravaged the village with all our might.  I thought of my wife and kid,  Thinking of them a cruel thing I did.  I accidentally slashed a boy,  Who I thought was a decoy.  Then I thought of my own son,  How I used to treat him with a bun.  Even he must’ve had a dad,  Who taught him what is good and what is bad. Save the earth

Save the earth Some say it's round, Though it can't be found What shape is the earth? Where our mothers gave us birth, Animals came on it first, The place where we quench our thirst, A part of it we destroy, With every missile we deploy, Try to save it, Not enslave it.

Rainy Days

RAINY DAYS It's the pitter-patter of the rain drops, Which is a good day for people with crops, With the fall of each drop, Who cares if the movie's a flop? The wet cat misses its caress, As its owners are playing chess, One doesn't fess, Do they know what happened to their other dress?

Our mode of transport was by plane so I was very excited. 2. I could watch cartoons and play games there. 3. I could eat more mangoes and ice-creams thanks to grandma's love. (not that I didn't eat ice-cream here) I asked my father, "Is Kerala too hot?" "Yes it is during summer." "So why do we go there?" "Because it's our native place" "So?" "Everyone would like to go to their native place because it brings back memories." "Did you have a lot of memories in Kerala?" "No. Only a few. I was born in Jhansi and your grandfather was in the army. So I spent most of my childhood in the northern states." "Is that why you're not coming with us? "No son, it's because I have work to do." "What kind of work?" "Off...
