Displaced communities

Displaced communities in a displaced land Their very origins, unbeknownst The arrogance and ego of man But at what cost The divine forces at work here Something to respect and something to fear Too powerful for man to combat Nature finally taking back the habitat Only a few extra drops of rain And more than hundreds get slain It can cause such a catastrophe When we witness such a diastrophe What else can we do but sit and watch And pray that nature doesn't turn it up a notch.

Time

Flying faster than any bird A concept which is the most absurd More precious than gold or myrrh Unpredictable by prophet or seer Second, millisecond, nanosecond Not something mere mortals can beckon Wasting it is a sin unforgivable Its expense and value is always so palpable Not something physical but holds great weight Either you're too early or you're too late Time is relative a great once told One by one just watch the events unfold The one thing unaltered by mankind Can't go forward and can't go behind Sweet, sour and hard just like lime It's just something that we humans call time

The other side

A few years is all it is Then we fall into a never ending abyss Only a few to tell our story Our final moments happy, sad or gory Only our names remembered All our ties with the world forever severed Why hold on then,  Just float away in a far off dren The people you've made memories with Not all of it was just filth Your deeds, euphoric and sober Decide where you go after you cross over Some want to go to Mars I just want to be with Him among the stars

A million pearls

A million pearls from above Mix with every road, farm and cove Worth more to the subjects Than other worldly extortionate objects Creating new life in a never ending cycle Something with which we cannot trifle Each crystal clear drop, a story of its own Can never be bought, even with the biggest loan With great force, it makes even the mountains tremble But with its playful nature, it feels so gentle on our temple These million pearls from above,  Are worth more than the diamonds we so love.
